Ruth Musser’s 2019-20 yearbook has been awarded an Honorable Mention for Excellence by Balfour publishing.
This award is given to the top 10% of the thousands of schools the company works with, including colleges and universities, professional and tech schools, high schools, prep schools, middle schools, and elementary schools. This is the 17th year in a row that Ruth Musser has won an award.
The yearbook is produced by students in the Multi-Media elective, led by teacher Mr. David Peltz. The yearbook staff is comprised of 19 7th grade students. Student leaders include Editor-in-Chief Michelle Iftekhar and Copy Editors Cooper May and Devin Schmeltzer.
Although production of the yearbook has been delayed by COVID-19, students who purchased will receive a yearbook once they are finished and shipped. Ruth Musser is working on a system to distribute. Students, who were eager to create a great product, worked hard in and out of class, taking photos and interviewing students and staff.
