The Bear Gulch Math League Team has a lot to be proud of this year. During the 2019-2020 school year, they competed in three Math League-sponsored qualifying competitions and earned first place and second place trophies to add to our growing trophy collection. During these competitions, several team members achieved scores that qualified them for the Math League State Championship competition. And then all schools were closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, this did not deter these committed Math League competitors, who continued to practice math virtually for three hours a week throughout the month of April to prepare for the State Championship Tournament that was held on Sunday, May 3rd on Zoom. We are very proud of the efforts of all our team members and congratulate the following learners who will be competing in the Virtual Math League National Competition in June: Lana Nguyen, Hajed Bhri, Babur Barakzai, Jacob Nacorda, and Conner Mohlin. Way to go Grizzlies!
