The Bear Gulch campus is adorned with professional eye-catching murals created by Tim Edmonson of Art Specialties. These murals showcase our mission statement, core values, school vision, school wide expectations, and numerous growth mindset quotes. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit and our learners were sent home for the remainder of the school year, Tim reached out and asked if there was something he could do to help our learners feel connected while they were all physically separated. He suggested that learners draw a picture showing themselves engaged in a productive activity while staying safe at home. Our 5th grade learners were invited to participate in this project and their artwork was transformed into a colorful poster that was mailed to each participant's home.
We are very thankful to Tim for the excellent idea and for the learners who chose to send in their artwork. These posters will surely be great conversation starters someday when our current 5th graders explain to their future families what life was like in 2020 when the schools closed and they had to stay at home.
