Hello Cougars and Cougar families! 

 My name is Ashley Garkow and I am the proud Assistant Principal of Cucamonga Middle School. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to serve the CMS students, staff, and community. I come to CMS with 14 years of education experience. I am blessed to now call CMS my home.

 Cucamonga Middle School and the Central School District have a history of excellence. We will work together to ignite endless possibilities for all students. We want to inspire our students to be ready for their future endeavors.

 We are committed to building a positive school culture and climate for ALL students and staff. I am a firm believer that teamwork makes the dream work! I will work with our CMS team to help our cougars find their passion. Whether it is academics, athletics, or performing arts, we offer a variety of programs for our students to be connected to CMS and be a part of a team.

Greetings Cucamonga Middle School Families and Community!

My name is Armando Barajas, and I am one of the assistant principals at CMS! I have vast teaching experience both in middle and high school as an English, ELD, and Dual Immersion-Spanish teacher. I am a data-driven and student-centered instructional leader who is committed to ensuring that our students have a safe and conducive learning environment.

I earned my BA and MAT from USC, my Ed.M. in Educational Policy and Management from Harvard, and I am currently pursuing my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at USC. I also honorably served in the U.S. Army (Sgt).

Also, during the summer, my family and I enjoy visiting national parks, our two favorite being Yellowstone NP and Glacier NP due to their beautiful sceneries, adventurous hikes, and amazing wildlife.

In closing, I am looking forward to a successful school year working alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families, and amazing Cougars!
