Hello Cougar Families! Please be sure to nominate parents to serve on our School Site Council this 2020-21 school year. Members are volunteers who oversee the school plan and there are four meetings throughout the school year. You can nominate parents by clicking on the link, "SSC Parent Nominees", under the Back to School Night box on the home page of our Cucamonga Middle School's website. Another link for a voting ballot will be posted next Tuesday afternoon with nominees' names. Thank you! ¡Hola Familias Cougar! Good Evening Cougar Family, We are off to a great start! This Thursday, August 20th at 5:30 pm, we will be having a virtual Back to School Night! It will be in the form of prerecorded videos, not live. On the CMS website homepage, you will see a link for the Back to School Night PowerPoint presentation. In this link, you will see a bitmoji of your student’s teacher. Look for this cartoon version of your child's teacher, specific grade level, and subject (i.e. 6th Grade Math, 7th Grade Language Arts, etc.). Click on the link for your student’s period/class under the teacher’s name. The link will take you to a YouTube video created by the teacher. You can watch your child's teachers' recorded videos later as well if necessary.

Good evening CMS families, this is Mr. Morales. I want to welcome you to the 20-21 school year. While it may be a different start of the year, we hope that your child will be able to thrive and learn like previous CMS students. Distance Learning will bring some challenges, but also opportunities. I want to start by saying thank you to everyone for their patience as we get the year going. It will get better and we will get through it together. I wanted to share a few things that might help as we travel down this Distance Learning journey. If tech problems arise and your student cannot log-in on a certain day, just let the office know. Your student needs to remember to log-in with their full name into Zoom or the teacher will not let them in. We are attempting to prevent unauthorized people interrupting instruction. If you are waiting for a device from the district, please know they are working diligently to get devices out. Everyone should have one by early next week. To help you stay up to date with information, please make sure you download our new app, CSD 91730. Back to School Night will be next Thursday, August 20th. We will send out information on how you can access the presentations. Finally, we are serving meals on Mondays and Wednesdays for CMS students from 11 to 12:30. Students will need their temporary lunch cards to get their meals. We hope you stay safe and well during this time. Blessings.

Good Afternoon! Parents, if your child has band and orchestra on his/her schedule of classes, it is the only elective that is NOT a study hall. If your child has Band or Orchestra, please click on the Zoom link in Clever to meet with Ms. Mizerak, our Director of Music, during class time. *The only Band class that IS a Study Hall is the Beginning Band for 7/8th graders; those students do not check-in during that period (it says, "Study Hall" on their schedules).
