Students grades 6-8 will be taking remote CAASPP Interim Assessments in English Language Arts this week and in 7th and 8th grade math classes next week. Teachers may be assigning asynchronous work to support smaller group administration during these district assessment windows. We encourage students to do their best on the tests!
Good Evening CMS Parents & Guardians,
Just a quick follow-up clarification on the communication I sent out yesterday regarding dates for IAB district benchmark assessments. Grades 6-8 will have English Language Arts IABs February 16th-26th. Grades 7 and 8 will have Math IABs February 22nd-March 5th. Grade 6 will have Math IABs March 8th-19th. Thank you.
Good Evening CMS Parents and Guardians,
This is an important message from assistant principal, Julie McKissick, regarding upcoming IAB assessments which provide valuable information on academic growth and practice for spring state tests. The English Language Arts IABs will be given sometime February 16th-February 26th. The Math (Ratios & Proportions) IABs will be given some time March 8th-March 19th. Your students’ teachers will inform them of their exact testing days. ALL students should arrive to ALL classes at the beginning of every period for their teachers to take daily attendance. After attendance is taken, then teachers will be giving assessments to half of their students in class at-a-time while they dismiss the other half to complete independent or asynchronous work. Teachers will inform your students which days they are testing and which days they are doing independent work. Finally, students CAN take these assessments using their own computers as long as they have working cameras which are required by the testing websites for monitoring security. Students CANNOT use cell phones. If your student needs to request a district laptop device, then please do so immediately by emailing Dana Caldwell at the district office. Her email is: dcaldwell@csd.k12.ca.us. Please let me know if you have any questions @ (909) 987-1788. Thank you and I hope you have a lovely evening.
There is no school on Monday, February 15th in honor of Presidents' Day.
